Just a quick first post to say Hi,

I have been reading the forum for a while, and lurked on Music Radar for a long while before that. Having gained a wealth of guitar related knowledge already from the forum I finally thought it might be nice to contribute to the discussion in any small way I can.

I'll post the mandatory gear shots as soon as I can get round to getting it all out to take a photo (three young children make that kind of stuff a challenge).

Thanks for the welcome. 

As to the question why 'Cyberlawyer' its a username that I used on a couple of other forums that I have posted on in the past and I lack the creativity to come up with something new.

It's also relatively descriptive as in my day job I am a lawyer (Yes, I do own a couple of PRSs ) and I have a Masters Degree In intellectual property law, mainly as it pertains to software and technology development (but I did also do a course on IP commercialisation in the music industry just for fun and to make up the credits).

P.S. Just so you don't think I'm being an arse later on, despite my lack of creativity when it comes to my username I try not to comment on 'legal topics' on any forum I'm on. 

This is mainly because:

(a) I don't want to be the forum vampire that sucks the fun out of every conversation by turning it into a law essay.

(b) Providing specific legal advice over an internet forum may well amount to professional negligence and my family's livelihood is dependent on me keeping my ability to practice law (although I can comment on the law generally).

(c) When it comes to most general legal topics that I often get asked on forums ('Am I entitled to a refund...', 'I got this speeding ticket...', 'my wife wants a divorce...' (I kid you not!) ect.) I'm not much more knowledgeable than many of the well clued up members of this forum that are happy to advise without my professional constraints. In my day job I have a fairly specialist field of expertise which is unlikely to ever be relevant on a guitar forum.

My wife's a dentist and I own a PRS. Thinking about it, why should it be only one?...I'll speak to her about it tonight, it's been a while since I told her how much I love her
