In that case you might like our band: www.dexeterband.co.uk - named Dexeter after lead vocalist Deeanne Dexeter. Although the country crowd are typically a traditional bunch, I think that having a name which is less obviously country has helped us stand out from the crowd a bit.

I like short band names, and I like allusions. "Blondie" was a good choice on both counts. Could you get the boys to accept "Goldilocks"?

Yeah but I am not the front 'person' I am the guitarist. So that wouldn't work, being a vegan having the word 'bacon' in the name doesn't bode well but i do like the idea of a joint decision!
