When I saw it plugged it I was thinking of investing for my next live hard core Gabber project in Hamburg, then I remembered I'd get that t-shirt free so I am definitely out.

Well im glad that the price of some of the lower models is quite reasonable but I think they are being quite unrealistic trying to raise $250,000. Where as I do appreciate many of the African instruments (many of which have actually influenced western instrumentsdesigns throughout history) I think there is only a limited market for it in the west at the moment, especially for an instrument that is mainly percusive. It would have been nice if the sound of the keyed parts was a bit fuller like in the Kalimba, I feel that may have helped the design.

As coolest instruments well I do agree with Jalepeno but I like the Ukrainian Theorbo which is called a Torban or торбану in Ukrainian

The mermaid thing - hmm. The neck looks out of place with the rest of it... perhaps it should have been made to look like a harpoon?
