'work mode'

Not sure of the flexibility of the forum software, but would there be a possibility of a'work mode' i.e. no pretty headers on the pages and photo's don't show up? That way I can pretent I'm working which is not easy to do with a big guitar pic on my monitor

That's all very well, but getting caught knocking one out to a PIC datasheet is going to take some explaining.

thats what they tell you,  I suspect every single one of your web "searches" is monitored and possibly stored (goes for the rest of the peeps if they work for a reasonably sized outfit)

Someone at the company I work for spent a busy day accessing porn on a work computer in South Manchester, while his surfing misdemeanours were carefully tracked in West Yorkshire by IT Support.

Their's was sufficient evidence for the company to fire him....

Too risky on the work PCs-they monitor everything. I find it easier to access the forum through my phone, whilst hiding it from roaming bosses' eyes amongst some big lever arch files on the desk. For added effect I have a calculator nearby and occasionally press random buttons on it, point at a random page open on my desk and sigh. Seems to do the trick...

Yes everything is monitored where I work but unless you take the piss there are no issues. Its more about colleagues seeing what I'm doing and thinking I'm a slacker in my case
