Or at least to check it out anyway. They look pretty cool, IMO. Anybody know much about them? "Vintage Modified" 51...

It just looks cool. A bit different. It has 'style'. That, or, a VM Cabronita with Bigsby (which I'm sure about... if I had the money to spend I would just buy that, in fact if I had the money I'd already have a handful of them in different finishes!)

The Fender Japan version was sold off cheap by Thomann last year, you might see one cheap used, they were appearing on ebay, check the completed prices

I have a Squier Tele (just an Affinity model) that I bought in July last year.

Set me back $299 and it's a workhorse of a guitar. Looks great, sounds great, right out of the box. Wouldn't change a thing about it to be honest.
