Well my Xmas present from the Mrs arrived today she's let me open it to check it but nothing else. It's only a kit from kit built guitars!!!!!!

It will need a bit taking off the neck to make it sit flush but apart from that a bit of sanding and it will be ready to go.

It's going to be finished with wudtone azure lagoon. Going to build it with the stock hardware then upgrade as funds allow. Can't wait for Xmas now.

Very cool! Have fun building it after Christmas!
Always be yourself! Unless you can be Batman, in which case always be Batman.
My boss told me "dress for the job you want, not the job you have"... now I'm sat in a disciplinary meeting dressed as Batman.

Or use the but it's gonna be in a different tuning so don't need to mess with truss rods

If its like mine the neck may need a bit of minor work but the frets are passable and I've got some new pups coming in a couple of months from a mates ibanez. I'm settled on azure lagoon from wudtone without the highlights.

  • I'm thinking a kind of worn natural look, like a Washburn N4, or black wudtone with highlights.

the washburn looks not to my taste dude but i guess thats the best part of kits. just had a proper check of mine and the neck height is fine just need to get a couple of veneer offcuts so i can get a snug fit on the neck. the wudtone is being ordered next week and it shall be well under way by the new year, its going to be my first build so really looking forward to it

Not been very well today but I've managed to get the neck holes drilled they need to be about 2mm deeper though and get a nice snug fit with the help of a piece of koto veneer. Hopefully tomorrow I will be feeling up to sanding it ready for the wudtone
