what about the j mascis squier jmaster? they get great reviews, have something along the lines of p90s in them apparently- Im on the lookout for one myself, Iv never played one or any kind of JM type, but people on the internet say theyre good so it must be true!! :-B
Or just buy one of them epi tributes and then sell it to me at a loss. Actually you'd probably be alright with one of them with resale judging by ebay- plus thomann were doing them for £373- GAK offered to price match as well if youd rather buy from over here

    Danos: too jangly.

Jazzmasters: Too offset (just don't like the shape. I know, I'm weird).

    Buckers or P90s for sure.

For P90s, you could always try to find a Sparkly Aria
    :)

    Sparkly is good.

There's a Wildkat on my local gumtree. Are they any good? Think he's looking for £180. Might be worth a haggle. Always wondered if they were decent or not.

No. Wait. That's not really what I want. Nothing hollow or semi-hollow. I think.

Rickenbacker! expensive though, even a second hand one doesn't come cheap.

I've always been intrigued by Ricks, they just seem to stand apart from everything else, but I've never had the balls to buy one and always went for the safe options.

Only a Fool Would Say That.

It looks great but I think I need humbuggies and a shape other than a Tele.

Enough now, I think. Great suggestions and much food for thought.  Lets see what the weekend brings...

    Ooh that is tasty.

As you know, just bought the Yamaha THr10C so budget now reduced to c. £350 until I get the Superchamp X2 sold.

So, at present it's used or cheaper end of the new market. But that could all change should I get someone better than the Gumtree "buyer" who called at my house earlier to try it out and buy my M5 pedal. He "loved" the amp but wanted to think about it - fair enough. Then he said he'd pay me for the pedal but, oops, erm, where is his wallet. Ah, must be in his car.

Off he pops then 90 seconds later comes back and says he's forgotten his wallet (he'd travelled a decent distance) and he'll have to rearrange.

    What a tit, eh?

I slowly closed the front door whilst shaking my head. I'm keeping the M5 and frankly if he offers me over the asking price for amp, he can't have it.

    I hate gumtree.

I've got a silver sparkle Vintage Zip that I could be talked into parting with, would be sub-£100 so you'd even have enough left over to treat yourself to a second axe ;)

If you want to look for something a little different have a look at a sh Godin. They are great quality and sh they go for stupid low prices. A freeway classic is only 495 new.
Richards guitars is a godin specialist, have dealt with them and very pleased. He charges 15 quid delivery anywhere in Europe.
Secondhand suspect a Freeway will be well within 350...

    Hmmm...

A Hagstrom Viking Deluxe is available. As is a ESP LTD PB 401 (LP type) with Seymour Duncan P- Rails.

Two very different, but very nice and versatile guitars.

    Any opinions on either?
