I also bought a couple of necks and bodies and some Tele hardware, and (I think) sold a Fender neck.

I'm amazed to see how many pedals some people have bought and sold, I hardly ever buy pedals.

Sold a Gibson Les Paul Signature
    Bought a PRS Hollowbody
    Sold a PRS Hollowbody
Got given a Mesa Flux Drive
    Sold a Rat
Bought a Vox Mini5 Rhythm (for my singer who will eventually one day pay me)
    Bought a Gibson CJ-165
    Bought a Fishman Aura pedal

I think that's about it really. I did a few swaps and trades of stuff that was just passing through, but none of it was for me so doesn't count really.

  • Famous last words obviously, but I'm happy with my guitars now. After today's splurge on pedals I can't see much coming in next year. Few sales imminent I think.

    I'll have your superdelay
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • Been a momentous year for me in gear - amassed a huge collection and pared it down to a few good guitars:

    Out:

    Gibson Flying V
    Gibson SG Standard
    Ibanez PGM301
    Faith Saturn Trembesi
    Squier Standard Fat Tele
    Ibanez RG350
    Epi LP 60s Tribute Plus
    Fender Mex Telecaster
    Marshall AVT150X
    Tanglewood 12 string dreadnought

    In:

    Westfield LP Junior
    Fender Mex Tele
    Gordon Smith Graf
    DBZ Bolero FM
    Peavey Raptor Junior
    Marshall MG10CF

On the surface, the quality and monetary value of the gear I shipped out is far more than what I brought in - BUT - my current collection is more focussed and it works better for me. I guess you could compare it to a football manager clearing his squad of the egos and divas, and having a better team for it... ;)
