My first place goes to @TTony for opethy arpeggiating. It's not really a riff but I thought it was good enough to take first place regardless.

Second goes to @Spark240 really nice riff, reminds me almost of reef and I love the tone on the less distorted guitar

Finally 3rd place goes to @Bingefeller who's entry I thought was a great riff but sadly I thought the drum programming threw the groove off of the guitar performance. This riff recorded guitar solo might well have take first place for me.

Tough call as ever. I love how diverse it is, despite being just a "riff" - say that to a guitarist and they think of ac/dc or whatever, but there is a lot of scope in a riff.
