Epi lp replacement pickups

Mate of mine is wanting to beef up his epi lp. Wants something a little meatier - he's got abot 140 quid for the pair. Been years since I modded an epi, so what's a good idea? I'll be suggesting ew pots and caps too, so all suggestions much appreciated. Cheers J

Agree with that fully.

I popped a pair of Ash's pickups in my Epiphone Dot and it made a massive difference.  Hugely improved

At his prices, the hand wound versus factory is sort of irrelevant because it's the same price you'd pay for a USA factory set anyway.

Which makes them a cool thing.
