It's an obviously Jazzmaster/Jag-inspired guitar, although the slider switches on the treble side actually control in-built fuzz and analog echo, which sounds like it could be really cool. I love it. There's also the LS (less stuff) model, which is laid out like a normal JM. Prices start at $2200 for the normal one and $1750 for the LS.

God-fucking-dammit, they're just SO cool.

I really want to love those, but they don't work for me. I played with a band whose guitarist is close mates with the guys building them. They did him a Starcaster in LPB. Much cooler IMO...

  • I'd love to get a Bilt one day. I seem to remember coming across a picture of a 12 string with a hockey stick headstock too, which looked gorgeous. Along with Ayers in the US, they're my favourite, non-Fender offsets.

    True.  Very Wangcaster-like.

Yeah, if they wound the headstock design in a bit..

Actually to be fair if they did that we'd probably just find another aspect of the design to pick holes in.

I would love one of the LS ones in Burgundy Mist

  • Its based on the original non released Fender Marauder.

They are meant to be very, very good guitars
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

I don't mind the headstock actually - sort of Fano/Starcaster.

You need something big and bold down the other end to balance it out a bit.

A nice tasteful Suhr/Manson type design would be aesthetically too weak on this type of guitar.

Actually that headstock would be pretty handy if you suddenly had to dig a hole in the middle of a set.
