Gibson Custom Buckers

Afternoon everyone!

I've seen some Gibson Custom Buckers up for sale..

They've been taken out of a 2013 '58 RI Les Paul (I think that's right anyway).

Just wondering what the going rate is for these sort of pickups?

They're a pair with slightly aged covers.

It's a difficult one because, unlike the Burstbuckers, you can't buy them as an after-market part. I'd say anywhere between £150 and £200 would be a fair price.

Ive just seen them on facebook too. My first thought admittidly was 'dont sell em, as youll wanna put guitar back to stock to sell!' I think the price is more than Id pay.

I've gone for them anyway at £110 (plus a bit of postage).

I guess if they're not my cup of tea, I won't have much trouble moving them on.

Having had a quick glance around, £110 seems like a pretty good deal.

I've seen a pair without any stickers on them -

Considering they don't have the Gibson logo either on the baseplate, how would I even know these are original GIbsons?

No way of telling at all unfortunately.

 And the interesting part is, it’s probably simple to get an aftermarket ‘patent applied for’ sticker -  and fix it to any old humbucker:-))
