yup Lighter fluid is safe on Nitro. Dont use WD40 or acetone.
Finish off with Virtuoso cleaner and polish

Are you a man or a feeble little girl?
    Do you own a blowtorch?
Shot through the heart, and you’re to blame, you give love a bad name. Not to mention archery tuition.

Put a bit of gravy on it,

and get the cat to lick it off.

I use either WD40 or lighter fluid.

A friend of mine used acetone, and I heard him cry and scream 2 miles away ;)

Why not WD40? It's safe on nitro.

    Acetone definitely isn't though.

WD40 is gods universal cleaner. I use it on carpets, clothes, guitars, car interiors... in fact, everywhere except on rusty nuts.

Lemon oil (as used on fingerboards) is good for removing sticker residue and I'm 99% sure it won't harm the nitro.

It leaves a bit of an oily film of course but that's easy to remove with a clean slightly damp cloth.

I did a very old SG2000 clean up a few years ago. Lemon oil got the sticker off, then a lot of rubbing and T Cut got the finish even again. The finish under the sticker won't have been exposed to air for ages, so will be a different colour. I had to basically cut back the whole front of the guitar. Came up a treat mind you.
