Another productive session on my track. I'm really liking how it's developing - the trouble is, the more I get into it, the more work it's going to take to get it like I imagine it.

But I have an arrangement, drum track and roughed-out bass, rhythm guitar and lead guitar. Lots more work to do on the 'psychedelicising', though.

I have been working on something for weeks but it has developed in an entirely different way to what I thought when I started. I'm not sure its psychedelic (in fact, it isn't) and its definitely not a I-IV-V blues but I'm stuck with it.

I'll enter it anyway over the next few days and see what happens. 

Looking forward to hearing the other entries and how people have interpreted this one!

Edit: When I say weeks, I mean a few sessions over weeks. NOT that I've been spending every waking hour on this! #ManagingExpectations

I think 'psychedelic' can be many things (in fact, under the right conditions anything can be pretty psychedelic!). There's a great quote in the BBC Krautrock documentary where Iggy Pop describes Neu's music as having a kind of 'pastoral psychedelicism' - I think that's spot on, yet you wouldn't necessarily immediately think of Neu as a psychedelic band.

It seems the term "psychedelic" has raised a lot of confusion here.  Consider this:  Steve Howe was considered to be a little too psychedelic for Yes at first(listen to "Roundabout"), and if Kenny Rogers can have a psychedelic hit, well,,,,check out the song he did with Kenny Rogers and The First Edition, in 1968 "Just Dropped In(to see what condition my condition was in) .   Listen to some early Steppenwolf, "Magic Carpet Ride", "The Pusher" etc..., then plug in a wah pedal, experiment with the "speed/intensity" controls on your amp(if it has them).....

Interesting stuff. Can't wait to hear the entries. I'm still don't think mine is going to be nearly psychedelic or weird enough. I think it's interesting that stuff that was thought psychedelic originally now sounds almost ordinary.
