So I was in a store today picking up a Polytune 2 and we got chatting. I quizzed him over the price drop of the Ditto as well as the Nova Reverb/ Repeater. He was unsure about the discontinuation of any of them but he did forget himself for a moment and let slip about a Hall of Fame Mini that will be launched soon. Sounded interesting is all and thought I would share.

Cool. I was thinking the recent price drops would mean new products.

I'm still waiting for my Modulation x4

I can see that in the not too distant future. Will be great as long as it not the size of a bus like the Flashback!

  • Sounds good.

A multi FX unit with an FX loop and midi would be totally killer using the sounds of this series of pedals.  I've had the chorus, trem, and reverb and demoed the delay but bought a DD20 instead (Flashback x4 wasn't out yet).  All of them sounded great and were capable of a lot of sounds.

So one knob and you do the rest from the Toneprint app. Neat.

Not sure why it has a knob and a switch.

Reverb should always be both ludicrous and on.

  • I'm not sure what to make of it. I like the look of it and you could probably get away with a one knob reverb but I think I'd miss the speed of changing between different modes (and I'm a toneprint convert). Besides, I think most people already have a one knob reverb to hand - it's called an amp ;)

I quite like the idea of pedals like that.
I tend to sort my sounds beforehand and just want something I can stomp without worrying the controls have got knocked.
I do like to fiddle interactively though so I think something like a stomplock works better for me.

  • I must be going mad. I can't find a way of downloading the Toneprint editor from the TC site.

it does seem that the link just sends you back where you started. You cant get the editor on the ipad either, despite the fact its on all their demo vids - i guess it will be available soon but in the meantime they are just future proofing their demo vids.

I downloaded this stuff the other night but I couldn't for the life of me get it to save anything to the pedal. You'd think clicking "save to pedal" on the editor would do it. Oh no. You could tweak patches to your heart's content - you just couldn't keep anything you'd done. Anyone able to confirm this is broken? Or am I being a doofus?

There's a version for iOS being released this fall, supposedly.

Is the pedal set to toneprint?

It is. Did you get it to work?

0reaction image LOL 0reaction image Wow! 0reaction image Wisdom
  • Yeah it works fine for me. One thing you definitely need to so is check the firmware is up to date on your pedal - I think the original firmware is not compatible with the editor
