There was me, thinking of getting GSP to do a quality, professional build for me.

I can save my money and do this all myself!

Why would maple not be used on an acoustic guitar?! I always just put it down to traditions dictating what we do.  I know fingerboard wood might affect the tone, but probably not as much as, say...EVERYTHING ELSE.
