Just saw these being made by a Kickstarter company in the States. These might finally be the solution to players like me who pick with the flesh of their fingers. God knows I've tried all combinations of plastic and metal styles of FPs but never been able to really get on with them.
These guys might just have the solution... if they don't make your fingers sweat to much:

The best pick (for normal guitar) you can get is a few mm of keratin........you actually dont need much to get a "good" contact,  4 or 5mm is perfectly adequate and non intrusive..........

They might be useful for reso or banjy duties tho...........

I've tried all sorts of remedies but my nails split like crazy. I'd playing a Weissenborn copy a fair amount and that rips up the fingers without using picks.
