Awesome video and thanks for posting. I wouldn't think that a fretless would be for me as I have to master a guitar of the fretted variety first!

I have to comment on the quality of that Vigier strat though...sublime!

Ron Thal is the highest profile fretless player, isn't he?

Great video - Guthrie's great, as ever. I saw John Etheridge playing a fretless guitar back in the late 80s/early 90s and they've always fascinated me. I've never actually had a go on one, though. I especially liked the e-bow/volume pedal section. I use that technique a lot for ambient stuff on a fretted - it'd be great with a fretless.
