I watched a few of pixxylixxs videos but all I seem to remember was him shoving his line through guitar rig with the gain on about 17 and a massive amount of delay. Could have been playing any guitar. I think it was the Chibson one I saw.

OK knowledgeable chums, why does that "World's Greatest Guitarist- Amazing!" video appear somewhere on the bloody list even when I'm looking for movie trailers or pop videos unrelated to guitars? I wonder what the algorithm is that causes that?

I don't get people's beef with tone king. He's a better player than me and at least he does some high gain chord work rather than the elitist Blues knob thing. I'd rather watch him than a lot of other online reviewers

It's difficult trying to get the right amount of playing to demonstrate the tone and scripting it to get enough info without it being really drawn out. My own have progressed over time but it would still take at least a couple of hours to do a five or six minute video. I don't have any pro equipment, just my iPhone but I feel it's as good if not better than most of the videos that come up on the first page of the guitars I've done (apart from the pros like PGS, Gearmandude, and yes even Andertons/Chappers)

I don't watch TTK but yeah - looks like nobody is good enough for some of the guys here. Chappers, tone king, "that German guy" etc. Damn, even Bonamassa is 'just a twat'.

I can pretty much anyone of any style, and I've taken a live and let live approach to a lot of different 'approaches' as it were... but what really gets on my tits is overlong talking introductions like the reviewer is sitting down with their therapist and going over all their emotional reasons for buying the guitar then proceeds to play some crap lick recorded into a laptop mic and you can still hear the strings twanging over the noise.

1) Get a proper mic if you want to do videos

2) At least start with some playing to keep us interested!

Those demos where they tell you what the input and output jacks are for. What the volume, gain and tone controls do and how to change the battery.

If you're looking at a £200 pedal then you've probably sussed what they're for.

They're a real insult to the intelligence.

Great guy but his strong style (and Amp settings and Okko Diablo settings) do male all the guitars sound similar, though not the same. Bottom line is that he sells a LOT of guitars!
