I've been in need of a cheap and cheerful bass of late as I've been playing on a crappy Westfield 3/4 size in a trio with Mrs.KK and her acoustic guitarist and I was tipped over the edge when I was asked to dep for a friend's Madness tribute band (Cairo East)  - flippin' 'ell Tucker - what fabulous and errr..tricky basslines eh?

So, nabbed one of these today *(Ibanez GSR180) and it just suited me better, both sound and playing-wise, than the very good Squier Affinity P or PJs I was looking at - if I had the dosh, the CVs may have got a look in, but these are fabulous for the money and can cover a lot of ground.

    Hey bud

If you would want a pair of Fender vintage standard Jazz bass pickups let me know.  I just bought a Fender road worn and immediately swapped the pickups for a pair of Fralins.  So I have an extra set around that I am sure would make your Ibanez swing.  Plus they would be cheap as chips!
