Is this a guitar sound, and if so what is it?

At 2:05 (yes it's Top Gear, h8rs gonna h8):

I think it's guitar but it might equally be a keyboard with some kind of overdrive effect. Anyone have an idea? It sounds really cool.

Sounds like a very darkly set guitar tone through tremolo to me...but I'm rubbish that these things, to be honest.

Just Drive and reverb I think. Possibly some subtle ring mod too.

There's something warbling there, either tremolo or like @GavHaus said a ring mod, although I've never found one that subtle, but now I want to.

Probably in the order Tremelo > Reverb > Drive.

@Shark_eyes - The Fairfield Cirucitry Randys Revenge can do it; I've just got one a day or two ago, and playing around with it last night I got this kinda tone out of it. Well worth a youtube; it's an incredible pedal. From the best Trem you'll hear to clanging a bit of metal against a bell, and everything in between.

Although, I will add Randy's revenge to the potential GAS list, even though I have no use for the ring mod sounds. The trem type sounds are lovely.
