Banner to put behind the drummer - what size is yours?

Hi

just about to pitch the band with the cost of doing a cheap banner with our logo to put behind the drummer

coz we play some smallish pub venues i don't want to get something that is to bloody big

what sizes do you guys have?  I'm thinking of maybe 4ft x 6ft

I think ours is 8 x 4 but the bulk of the design does get lost behind the drummer in low ceiling venues..

Perhaps a 6 x 3 and a couple of pull-up stands?? They seem popular in my circles..

Just make sure you're aware of the fire regulations for this sort of thing.

There was a thread that covered that here a while back.....(I'll see if I can find it)

Our old one is about 6x4. There are so many pubs where we've given up using it because there's no where to hang it, or not enough space to hang it straight. Instead we are using a light display, and a couple of those floor standing displays that roll out and stand vertically on either side of the drums. It helps if your drummer runs a printing company.

Just drape lots of black cloth loosely from whatever wall fixtures permit ... A black backdrop, tres rock and roll

I think ours is 6x2. Right fucking clart on if you ask me, but the rest of them like it.

I love watching our singer and bassplayer knocking the cables out the lighting rig and causing general carnage as they try and put it up with the ensuing - it's wonky' argument!!

My arguement is we're not playing the O2 Academy in town, we're a covers band in a pub out in the sticks, the posters have been up a week, and the names scrawled on the black board outside.

Now stop knocking shit over...

We went for a 2m x 2m (6.5 ft) one - works well unless it's a really low ceiling.

we have two - pull up banners about 2 feet wide and 6 feet high and they sit either side of the backline. Go up in seconds, pack away in bags and are never wonky. Depending on stage size we can use one or both:

I think ours is 6' x 4', as many have said already works well unless it's a particularly 'low' venue.

I've got a spare 'blank' 6'x2' black vinyl banner with eyelets etc if you can make use of it, was my old band's and I peeled the vinyl off and kept it...
