NGD!

Y'know I said I was having a clearout?

Well, I was offered a trade for my Epi SG, and this isn't a guitar I normally would have considered. However, it looked nice and the specs were good, so on meeting the chap and trying the guitar, I came away with it...

Some nice vintage appointments on this - the pearloid tuners and tinted maple neck and board, and I've always liked the butterscotch finishes as well. I prefer hardtails in general so that's a bonus; the only thing I'm finding hard to like is the stacked tone and volume - fiddly and hard to not turn both at once. I think I'd just prefer a master tone and volume.

I like that it has a nice, wide fretboard too. I've plugged it in at home and it sounds wonderful clean and with some slight crunch. The neck pup is arguably nicer sounding than any Strat or Tele neck pup I've ever heard.

Overall, something a little different and left field for me, but it will hopefully inspire me to do something different with my playing.
