I have been raving on quietly about the THRs since this time last year I suppose, fantastic piece of kit and without a doubt the one single purchase that has made me play more than I had been in years. A friend got the THR10C having had a few blasts on my THR10 and at first, I admit I was slightly envious, but having now had a 10C here for a week on loan, I'd still have my original over the 10C. I am not a Hi Gain Player, in fact, I could live without the "Modern" setting on mine as I have never used it, but I would say that with careful use of the THR Editor, I can get as close as makes little difference to "most" of the sounds the 10C produces. I do say "most", obviously there are a couple of sounds I cannot get that close too, but oddly enough, they are the two I wouldn't use much, if at all.
In an ideal world, I guess I'd have both.
    ;)

One thing that has been universal though, the ladies all agree that the 10 is far more living room friendly. The newer colours don't seem to meet with quite the same approval.
    :)

Nice one. I've watched a few YouTube clips and they're certainly top of my list right now.

Been using my THR10 into Amplitube (free one) and then jammin along to backing tracks or learning new songs on Youtube.  The great thing about the THR10 is you have the choice to DI out (latency is good with Amplitube or Scuffham S-Gear) or use the THR's amp and FX when you hook it up to computer.

Another worthy contender Zoom G3, the looper alone is worth the asking price.  Four AA batteries, pair of headphones, your favorite guitar and your in practice heaven :)

@mmaatt25 I had a G3. Nice unit, but now I'd prefer something with speakers and the option for headphone, rather than the other way round.

Ooh. It's very nice. Sounds much bigger than it has any right to.

FX are nice and subtle, reverb ( especially the Hall) is immense. The tape echo is a little too dark for my taste, but I guess that can be tweaked from the PC.

Amp models are nice and useful but I can see why the vanilla THR is probably more versatile if you require a wider palette of tones (I don't).

So far, very good. Good recommendations everyone.

    Thanks.

Can't remember the last gear purchase that made me grin like that.

Just played with it for another hour. Works really well with the M5 for some dirt and better delay - was about to sell that, but I reckon the pairing will make a great little home practice/recording tool and sit neatly out of the way with minimal cables.

Plugged in the iPod. Fantastic how your guitar sits in the mix. Pink Floyd never sounded so good with me doubling Dave's leads. I'm sure he'd agree.

Still very much in the honeymoon period, but I echo everyone else's comments. Superb!
