Here's the 8th Riff of the Month (RotM) Challenge, being run by @Antique_Guitars and @TTony.

The challenge is now open, and remains open for submissions until 24th March.

All you have to do is ...

• Write a guitar riff.  You can include whatever else you want in the mix, but the main focus must be on the riff.
• Keep it to a maximum of 50 seconds.  This is about riffs, not songs.
• Challenge opens on the 1st of every month, and closes on the 24th of the month.
• Voting opens on the 25th of the month, and closes on the last day of the month, when the winner will be announced.

Let us know if you would like your entry to be anonymous.

Send your tracks to riffs@theFB.co.uk

The tracks will be uploaded to our SoundCloud account and saved in a playlist that will be linked below

@bingefeller .. monster riff .. :-)

@Antique_Guitars .. isn't the riff from @Drew_Fx in the wrong section? Great riff .. should perhaps be in the RAW riff section.

You can choose, you can submit a single guitar track to the main riff competition if you like.

Drew did not specify which one he was entering but I kinda assumed he meant the original one @Drew_Fx if you would like me to make this a RAW RotM instead let me know.

OK - I didn't realise you had a choice.

Yeah only the RAW competition has submission rules (other than time limit) anything else goes in the original RotM, this way people can now enter two riffs per month if they like.

I'm the other way, I can only play ok when recording, all other times everything is rubbish.

Just sent mine. First chance I've had this month to get a bit of playing done. 

Recording info. HB TE-30 'CarboTele' modded for HB modding comp thru 10w orange practice amp into Hudl 2 tablet using built in mic and Audio Evolution app. Mastered in Wavepad. Uploaded. Job done. Enjoy everyone and good luck to everyone. I'm loving all the riffs so far.

I'm "in charge" whilst @Antique_Guitars is away, and my www connection is painfully slow.  IF you can re-send as mp3s, I can do the upload, but the wav files are too big/slow!
