@miserneil sure did I was in a punk band for a few months before I got bored a long time ago, I def remember playing the old railway, now that was a venue! How about the flapper? That's still going I believe, but I'm gutted the yard bird has gone:-( only played there last year, what a great place

@mrchi Certainly was a great place, first time we ever played there, we turned up and a guy was outside boarding up the window as someone had driven by and shot the place!!

Yeah, did the Flapper a few times, was always a bit so/so for us though. Never got the chance to do the Yardbird, shame it's gone, I didn't know. Done the Jam House a few times and my old band used to do the Actress and Bishop regularly. Last one we did in Brum was at the Asylum with Casino, that was a good room, great vibe in there.

@miserneil I never did the jam house or the asylum, but I heard they were good venues, I can't wait till our drummers back from China, need to get back in the circuit! If you have any support slots let me j in and I'll send you our demo :-D

@mrchi No worries although we usually are the support band at Brum gigs, being the out-of-towners from Worcester :-)

I did indeed, proper venue

guy named Big Mick used to run the desk there who I found out was off doing the sound for bands like Metallica and The Wildhearts when he wasn't in Brum

Yeah! Big Mick! He's still Metallica's go to guy. Such a shame it's gone, had some cracking nights in there!

Did a gig once as '4 Norsemen of the Apocalypse', cargo shorts, boots, bare chested and with Viking helmets. Why? There were 5 of us..... Fortunately no photos remain
