Awesome. Will look forward to that.
Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

ahhh... just noticed on itunes that there's a song called We Were Wrens
I've no idea what that is... it's nothing to do with us..

and I've just noticed that if you view the album "view in iTunes", the preview clips are much longer

  • Brilliant news , well done . I am curious have you signed with a royalties collection agency like BMG ? if so would be interested in your experience as apparently a contract offer is on the way to my daughter , but have no idea what it entails .

I'm signed up with PRS and the record label does all the MCPS

PRS handles writer's royalties and pay me
MCPS pay the label for mechanical royalties and the label pays me

    or something like that

Thks , it is interesting for me as I am in the early process for my daughter . We have a "producer " contract and they have paid for all of the production of the Masters. The producer was given an advance of $1m to develop new talent and I understand my daughter is the first "project" . We have agreed our points on the Masters /Writing/  and 360 and a conversion rate if a label wants to buy the producer out.

I understand there is a contract offer on the way from the people that gave the producer the advance , but not yet sure what this entails and how many points it will cost. To be honest I know very little , but have two good books recommended to me from this here forum. The process she is going through seems a little different from the norm. As to the producer contract our lawyer said he had never seen a contract like it , and it had good and bad points for her. So I am interested as to how things work for other people.  The other difference is they are targetting for her to be launched in the US not here. I will of course use lawyers /accountants and have them waiting in the wings...

  • That's handy :)  Can he actually play the bass as well.

Must admit I am trying to learn from other peoples experience as well as from Books as she has no idea and I am trying to help guide her.

    haaa....

check out the clips and you'll find that he is a stonking bassist...

    absolutely top drawer..

with respect toto your daughter.. this must be really tough.. cos you're trying to guide someone in something that you're trying to learn about [and have not previous experience with] whilst you're learning about it..

    must be very difficult
