So this thread will serve as an on-going log of my midi pedal(s) design and build.

First up is this one. It's for a Strymon Timeline but could be easily altered to control pretty much anything. I'm setting it up as 3 banks of 3, and it's not programmable (mainly as how do you program a pedal with only an LED??),

I have since wired the switches to their sub-board but this needs a little more work.  The main things left to do now are to connect the midi port to the power supply, and connect it all up to the brain.

Got the Red/Green LED wired up, rewired sub-board A and wired sub-board B. Everything works as expected, just need to test midi out. Waiting on the smaller brain to arrive in the meantime.

It turns out I made a mistake - the mini brains I ordered are coming from China, and won't be here until the end of the month! How annoying. I ordered some more from the UK today, so as I could not finish prototype 1, I moved onto prototype #2: This one is a simple bank up/down switch, and a bit of an experiment to see how much I can fit into such a small space. Eagle eyed readers will notice a small hole in the box - I recycled it!

OK so the brains arrived and I wired one in and got the red prototype finished!

Been working on some new ones - this one has a seven segment led display, and is going to handsomerik to Beta test - that square hole was a challenge!

Still needs wiring and programming but the hardest part is done.
