I don't know what a Terminator switch is. Its probably not as exciting as what I'm picturing.

No, it just means you can have an external wordclock pluged in (to match tempos with another bit of equipment with a word clock out), and then you've got a switch to ignore it.

Will the Helix do firmware updates?
    Absolutely.

Are the delays new algo's specifically for the Helix?
    Yes.

  • My band use IEMs. Would I be able to have guitar, mic and iem mix into the helix a mix of all three coming out of the headphones but individual mic and guitar outputs going to the mixing desk?
There are a few ways to do this, and it might use up some Sends, but yeah.

  • I expect that I'll be replacing my Mesa with monitors once my Helix arrives so that I can take full advantage of the modelling and stereo output options for home use. I'd like to get an idea of how it sounds with home studio gear though, as all of the demos I'm hearing/seeing so far are either through high-wattage FRFR systems, or using valve amps.
I've been monitoring Helix through ADAM P22As for months, and we showed Helix in a secret back room at Musikmesse through Yamaha studio monitors. Line 6 StageSource speakers are flat enough that a couple people are currently using them as their midfield studio monitors, so you should be fine regardless.

  • Are the delays new algo's specifically for the Helix?
Yes. Some of the delays' time parameters go from 0-8000 ms, with 0.1ms resolution between 0 and 1ms. Others impart restrictions to perfectly ape the original pedal's behavior.

the modelling of the fuzz factory and its foibles blew my mind. On a separate note , are the delivery times looking realistic? I.e. Is it going to deliver on the 25th sept or is it likely to be earlier or later?

@thorpy6 can't give you a precise date at the moment. Will know more within the next week or so. All I know is that they will be here towards the end of the month. Sorry I can't be more specific right now.

I play guitar and take photos of stuff. I also like beans on toast.

The modelling sounds much better on this video. Andertons demo sounds like every other andertons demo.....shite.

The tones here are on par with the sean videos. Very very good

I think if the feel is there when playing through it then I'll be having one for sure.

I know a lot of the other guys want all the ins and outs etc over tone for what they need.

For me its tone first :)

That does sound amazing! I 'gave up' modellers but have a feeling I'm not going to be able to resist one of these

Certainly a lot better than the Andertons demo. Of the clips I've heard the fuzzed out sounds are the most successful. The univibe sounds amazing, as does the Octavia.

Haven't yet heard an amp sound that's sounds smooooootttthhh, but we'll see.

Apart from the end where guitar guitar tagged their bit into it ... A bit clumsily
Paul would never have let that go he's too pernickety
