I only have one fuzz pedal on my board, but it's just a little big muff so don't read too much into that.

I've got what I think is an earlier version of this:
    Fredric Effects Demon Fuzz
Basically an IC Big Muff. Version I have has Tone, Sustain, and Volume controls as well as the toggle switch.
It has never left the board since I got it.

Probably a Fuzz Factory. That can cover a lot of ground and a bit of madness.

I don't think you are going to get anything that covers all bases especially as Big Muffs aren't technically considered fuzzes.

I have a Wampler Velvet and I don't know if I'd call it versatile. It is however very good.

At lower gain it is a bit more distortiony on tight mode and gets more muff like as you wind it it up. The fat mode is just bonkers and is good for epic DG solos. It doesn't have a massive amount of control over the sound as the brightness control is really just a presence control and doesn't make a huge difference to the underlying sound.

I've currently got a Lunar Module clone which is quite a versatile pedal and can do various flavours of fuzz and distortion. Haven't tried the Muffroom Cloud yet, but it sounds pretty epic from the demo.

I have one! EWS Little Fuzz Drive ( is that right?). Sort of a fuzz for non fuzz users.

My Rainger Son of Freakenstein. A million different shades of mental.

Failing that, the enormous contraption @juansolo once made... the Lament Configuration I think?

Contains two of my favourite fuzz circuits, both of which are hard to come by - the Ibanez Standard Fuzz and the Roland Bee Baa. Plus others. And look at it... it's just so cool. Packed full of stuff but it looks intuitive and I bet it sounds fucking incredible.

    Do want.

I've seen Pete Thorn get a stunning sound out of boss fz2 (or maybe 3)

I personally love the zoom UF01 as an outside shout

    Bugger me!

Failing that, zoom ultra fuzz. Silent switching, awesome broadly voiced fuzz that kicks the arse of many pedals.

I have to say, as Dave Fowler from Aussie FLoyd has my P1 on loan, I needed a Muff of decent tone.

Someone (well 2 people, incl Kit Rae) raved about this to me...$80 + import duties etc.

It really has the soaring mids of the P1. The toggle voices very well but I like it where it is on the pics. Very silent, fab tone, cheap as chips.

    For me, fuzz=Tonebender.

The Magnetic effects Solar Bender is a superb VFM Mkii tribute.
