Thats a RG470 isnt it?

My mates RG570 has the pin striped Wizard 2 neck where as the RG470 (I own a 470) has a maple neck (RW Board) with no skunk striping...

Correct me if I am wrong

I've asked keithf for a bit more info. He gave me the serial number, which denotes that it's MIJ (the 470 was Korean) and made in 1998, but the neck, as you point out, is all maple, not with the skunk stripe associated with later models (post-96). Everything else about the guitar, from what I can see, looks like a 570.

Aha, I just checked a 1998 catalogue, and it states there that some had original wizard necks (sans the stripe), so this is kosher.

The striped necks came into production much later than this one.   Looks like a 570 to me.  
The 470, 550 and 570 all had the same necks and you commonly find an rg500 stamp on any of them.  (main difference is the trem and this one has an old edge that might have worn knife edges but at that price, it wouldn't put me off)

Sorry guy it wasn't an accusation, hence I was asking for correction if I were incorrect.

It was me asking out aloud a question. Hope I didn't cause too much offense.

(to be honest 470 or 570 they are both great and pretty much identical)

As for 470s being Korean, there seems to be a lot of confusion around this. 

My 470 states it is made in Japan and so does the serial number. However apparently there were part shortages and some mik bodies were applied to mij neck, sometimes all assembly was in Japan or Korea etc etc
