Rob O'Reilly guitar

What's Hot
RockerRocker Frets: 4947
Interesting if quirky guitar in Waltons in Dublin.  Rob O'Reilly is the name on the headstock.  I thought it was a promo dummy guitar but the shop assistant assured me it is for real.  It looks like a banjo with the strings way off centre.  Seemingly the designer used his sunglasses as inspiration.  Looks 'cool' [bet you never thought I would use that word] and interesting, did not have the time to try it out myself.

At first sight I though these would be ridiculously expensive but €399 is not too bad. I'd never buy one but still at least they are relatively affordable for those who are into the designs.

I think it speaks volumes if you have to advertise on your main product home page with girly in swimsuit,   unless its selling swimsuits of course

  • The only place for that guitar is in a Hard Rock Cafe with the leftie version displayed next to it (so it looks like sunglasses, geddit?).

Liked it, hated it and then liked it again. I like his concept. It's innovative if nothing else. Affordable too - think how much Gus and Parker guitars are. He's clearly trying to keep it a reasonable price, so kudos to the fella. Best of luck to him!

  • But which Waltons in Dublin? There are two one on the hill by the Waltons hotel and one in the centre (the bigger one)

  • Has no one realised that it has some similarities to the wangcaster? you would essentially be playing a giant cock and balls!
