Established, gigging covers band seeks experienced, versatile & committed l&r guitarist with bvs

We are an established rock / pop / soul covers band called Marylebone Jelly, comprising of lead vocals, bass guitar, keyboards and drums based in Kent and we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic guitarist with both rhythm and lead skills due to an impending departure from the band.

We predominantly play weddings and functions with a few pubs, corporate events and festivals thrown in. We have a full PA and light set up with a sound / light engineer, so all you would need are your guitar(s), pedals and stage amplifier.
We have gigs booked for the remainder of 2015 and into 2016 and therefore require the successful applicant to be committed to these gigs and to be ready to start rehearsing immediately. We have over 60 songs in our current repertoire, covering tunes from the 50's to the present day – Motown to Simply Red, Rolling Stones to Take That, Beatles to the Kings of Leon, Erasure to Bon Jovi. We’re therefore looking for someone happy and able to play in different styles with confidence.

All songs that we choose to perform are designed to get and keep audiences on the dancefloor. We pride ourselves on being a very professional, high quality band which always delivers a great show so everyone in the audience goes home thoroughly entertained.

We are planning to start auditions as soon as possible and if you think that you could fit the bill please contact us, letting us know why and with a link to video/audio of you playing. It’d also be great if you could make a suggestion or 2 regarding songs that you think might fit into our set (after checking us out on the website and / or Facebook).
