Has anyone been up the Shard to the viewing levels?

I've got a ticket to go visit sometime, and I'm just wondering ... naturally, I'll be taking a camera with lots of battery life and a large SD card!

I first thought it was going to be a picture of something messy in your underpants.

I would guess it's the best view in London.

Because the Shard isn't in it :).

When I was working for BT I got a job to fix the aircon in the old revolving restaurant at the top of the BT Tower. They were turning it into a conference suite or something. The view from the top was pretty awesome, the Shard must be incredible, assuming the sky is clear.

Gizmodo ran a story the other day showing Shanghai's skyline from 1987 and from now (or last week... pedants! ;) ) it had changed in the 26 years in such a total and astounding way that I wonder if The Shard is merely the beginning - perhaps in 25 years time London will be filled with The Shards, and what now seems like an odd looking sticky out building will be lost in similarly gaudy pointy geegaws just like Shanghai is now, or will we rail against the tall-glassification of London? Say "NO!" to the vertical rise of shiny megaliths of corporate and capitalist greed? Perhaps the ever growing population in London will need more and more business and office space so great glass phalluses are inevitably going to be errected willy nilly... time will tell.

Also, might have started the day with a Monster Ripper...

Funny that.  We were in London last Saturday for Iron Maiden and I mentioned that there were a few very big buildings that I'd not seen before - and I do travel into London every couple of months or so. They seem to go up so quickly.

I'm not actually a qualified doctor, but I think we might be able to conclude that you have a eeenny, teeeeny, tiny sensitivity to caffeine.  Perhaps.

    Either that, or ....

It's great ! The views are stunning.

You really want to make sure it will be a clear day - I work on The Southbank, and if it's cloudy you can't see the top
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

I feel like the only person who likes the Shard. I like Orbit too, having had a view of it being built from my old flat. In any case, the Burj Khalifa is better :p
