Just saw an article in the local paper. Appears he died on the 30th October.
Very sad news. He was a great player, one of my all time favourites and The Climax Blues Band in the 70's were a force of nature. Their 'FM Live' is regarded as one of the best live albums ever recorded and us teenagers at the time were blown away by Pete's playing. His solo on 'Flight'  during that performance was just amazing..

  • A fine slide player, as shown on the 1982 Glastonbury appearance that's on YouTube. Sad to hear his passing

Sad .. I saw the Climax Blues Band a few times in the 70s ... great band.

Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!

He recorded this, and is consequently awesome.

  • A true Stafford legend sql. I didn't read the paper last night so this is the first I'd heard of it. :(

  • I bought his IRS-NoSpeak EllPee and liked it. Shame I didn't research him further, but I didn't have the internet at the time (probably only a very few did)
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

I saw the band in Milton Keynes many years ago after their heyday. First class performance from a professional outfit.

    R.I.P.
