Interesting it must be a crap clone, cos I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be.

Supposed to be a Dumble-ish pedal.  Not what I'm after.

the real issue with a 1590a zendrive is the 4 pot config requires 9mm alpha pots (so for a boot-eek maker) that's around £10 layout.

the sabrotone veroboard will definitely fit in a 1590a ... but the pots oye!
A sig-nat-eur? What am I meant to use this for ffs?! Is this thing recording?

I thought the Zen Drive was meant to be the "Dumble in a box"tm
I wanted one for ages and wasn't that impressed when I got one.

Can do RIAB, not a one trick pony -  it's a fairly subtle & creamy sound, in no way an ear splitter.

Grind customs feng drive board fits in a 1590a and can be made as a Zen. Pain in the arse to do it though.

The Koi does sound interesting. Check out this new clip:

Will have to wait a while for me to try out as I've just done a decent deal on their Ten Cent Trem!

Might be worth having a word over at diystompboxes, someone over there made a 1590A ZenDrive clone a couple years back:

There might well be some layouts on the site somewhere (would be PCB layouts probably due to the size) if you can build yourself or get someone to build for you.

    Another DIY

You can see the internals of a 1590A one here, 2nd pedal down:

Grindcustoms do the PCB he used for the build for $8

    **EDIT**

Just noticed I think he may be a member on this very site so you could get some info on him:
I spotted the mini Zendrive from the 2nd link in this post in the bottom middle of his pic here:

Yup, I've built one for me. However I tend not to build 1590A's for others. The main reasons are that they're an absolute sod to build, getting the 9mm pots reasonably has become difficult, you have to paint them if you use 9mm pots which isn't as robust as Envirotex, I can't use the decent stomps that I use in other builds in them as they don't fit, and finally they're not particularly stable when used in anger. Plus when you lay them out so you can actually hit them easily, you could have used a 1590Bs anyway.

Essentially a lot of downsides and no upsides other than they're tiny. I could make one, but it'd end up being prohibitively expensive...

KOi overdrive installed on my mini-board, getting trialled tonight at rehearsals.  Will report back.

(Kevin's a nice bloke - didn't charge extra international shipping as it was the same from Canada to USA as to UK)

I'm interested to hear your opinion of the Koi. How long did yours take to arrive?
I'm waiting on a Ten Cent Trem to drop through my door sometime soon I hope!
