Custom Audio Amplifiers thoughts, input?!

Hi.

Thinking about getting a CAA.

I like Marshall's and love my JCM 800. I just sometimes wish it was just a little "more" if you know what I mean...

Currently looking at the Classic+ OD's.

Worth getting?

BTW, if they sound anything like the Budda Superdrive, I really don't want to know.
They sound bloody awful to me. Unless mine was broken or something...

Best amp I've ever owned- it is the complete package of Fender clean, Marshall crunch and rip your head off modern gain. I have the PT50.

I've played a few of the various models over the years and all but the SE+ have really impressed me. 

IMO the culmination of John's work on these amps are the PT models.

Hi Nerine, 

Word of advice- use the effects return as your 'bedroom level' master controller.

That way you can have the channel master volumes on 4+ and basically use the fx return pot to control over loudness- MUCH better tone at bedroom levels.

I also use it live.

What model did you get?

The OD50 (and variants) isn't as gainy as the PT50, except the SE+ model, which is ridiculously gainy.
