My amp (Egnater Tweaker 40) has a two button footswitch for channel 1/2 and FX on/off
I'd like to have that perminantly mounted on my pedalboard, but the cable's wired directly in, so I'd like to change that to a plug/socket arrangement.
(btw I've not opened it up, and I'm not really a modder/tinkerer)
Is that the sort of thing that's dead easy and you techy guys are sniggering as it's so simple?

Wired to the internal wires - sleeve and tip.
Can't see why not. Assuming it uses a TRS plug, You could use a multi meter to test where the tip, ring and sleeve connect to inside the footswitch. Drill out the cable entry, fit a TRS socket and connect to the relevant points. Shove a TRS jack on the end of the old cable and you're sorted.
@not_the_dj I've PM'd yourself and think I can solve the problem for you
