Bad trades List

Anybody that has messed you about and generally left a bad taste in your mouth, please share with the group... Please PM me and point me at any appropriate threads). The list below shows any previous Bad Trades along with dates they were resolved if they have been.

Please do not use this thread as your first port of call if you can't get hold of somebody for a day or two, but if there is a genuine problem it is important that you share this with the rest of the Forum, if only for the tea and sympathy and to stop anybody else being caught by the same person.

Remember though, thousands of trades happen here without any problems at all, and what you see below is a really minor percentage. But be careful out there

I don't like doing this but I have to say that my recent transaction with jdbwales was pretty bad.  Payment sent and it took 4 weeks before the goods arrived.  There are others still waiting for their items several weeks after payment.

I've dealt with him before years ago without issue, and he is certainly one of the most prolific and respected sellers on here, but something has gone wrong in the jdbwales camp recently.

REAL life tends to get in the way of trivialities.

I'm no scam artist, and if I was it would be for allot more than the 30 quid I'm accused of stealing, I deal with 1000s of pounds worth of equipment! Have never ever had any issues with anyone.... it was a mistake, an over sight. Ask Travis!

I'll be honest, I'd consider owing any sum of money for a long time to be a pretty valid reason for people to be concerned... Perhaps more tellingly, I've not seen any apology. I doubt many would particularly care about your reasons for having more than one account - the fact is though, a lack of contrition makes you seem less trustworthy than someone who comes out and say

"Y'know what, I fucked up - I'm sorry and we've sorted things out now."

Oh dear, hate to have to add to this, but @Adolfhipster still owes me £22.50 for postage agreed for a guitar swap I did with him on the 20th Sept - His Parker for my Strat.

He has said on a number of emails that he will send it "once he gets paid" but I still haven't received anything despite a number of friendly emails asking him to pay up.
