Line6 are bringing out a new pedal in 2016 called the "Zeros n Ones", where they have modelled the exact effect of the digitising process and this can be neatly slotted into the effects send and return loop of your boutique valve amp to make it sound more "digital".

Obviously this is fully gooped inside to dissuade the cloning community and in fact they have digitally modelled the goop used by Pete Cornish for purity of the tone.

Jimi Hendrix first conceived what we now know as the Floyd Rose back in the late 60s.

Floyd Mayweather (Sr.) bought up some of Jimi's estate, lending his name to the string bending apparatus.

Fun fact - as we all know, it was good old Eddie Van Halen who popularised the device. What you might not know is that Eddie was the one who filipped it around to make it bend _down_ ... Jimi's original design only allowed bending up.

That ladies and gentleman is why we know it as a "Floyd Rose", not a "Floyd Fall", as one might expect.

  • Steve Vai's older brother.

We all know guitar virtuoso Mr Steve Vai, but you might not know his older "blue collar" brother Kevin. As Steve's idol growing up, it was Kevin's interest in all things guitar that first got Steve hooked.

Fun fact: A bricklayer by trade (with the odd bit of carpentry and plumbing here and there), Kevin found it increasingly difficult to place his calloused monster sized fingers in the right place on his Ibanez Rocket Roll. Thanks to his practical mind, Kevin was able to widen the neck on his guitar allowing him to increase the string spacing - making it much easier for him to place his fingers.

Steve famously stole his elder brother's wide neck guitar, recut the nut and bridge, and managed to fit an extra bottom B string. That gave us what we now know know as the first Ibanez 7 string.

So there you go - 7 string guitars were originally intended as "wide neck guitars for bricklayers and plumbers"

Joe Bonamassa is extremely choosy over what he associates his name with and will only endorse a product after he has personally tested it over an extended period of time and actually used it creatively either on stage with a paying audience or in the studio on at least one track which gets a commercial release.

Joe Bonermassive has a new signature Barbeque arriving at NAMM - the 'Bonagrill' comes with Honduran Mahogany wood chips for that authentic JoBo smokey flavour that he insists on backstage before and after shows.
There is an optional extra list that includes a Versace apron, tinted safety glasses and (long tenon) tongs that all bear JB's signature and certificate of authenticity.
Numbers are limited to a production run of just two million units to ensure exclusivity.
