Lady Bertie McHobnobs, my best beloved, bought me one of these for Winterval. It is mighty. Like a cross between a theremin, saxamaphone and electric kazoo.

This is an excellent example of a well-played one. Not my work, I need to do a lot more practice to get this good.

I have the white one, I love it.

It doesn't get played often, and quite a few people question why I have a sperm on the shelf...

One thing I find particularly entertaining about it is how badly I can play and still have Lady BMcH work out what I was attempting... mine is the blue one, which I suspects looks less unwholesome than the white.

I don't think you can play them in tune tbh, it's part of their (used lightly) charm

I'm pretty sure I'm more in tune on the cello after the same number of days of playing.

I've got a yellow one - quite fun but there's something odd about the tuning.  It doesn't change pitch smoothly up and down the ribbon, it's sort of stepped, but not always possible to play the note you're after, or something...

I've had mine a couple of years I think - the ones in these clips look slightly bigger than mine (yak yak) - perhaps they've changed, the ribbon looks much wider than mine.  I pick it up every now and then, but I suspect it's more enjoyable for the player than anybody listening
