Motörhead by corduroy

Some may see this as an affront to mr Lemmy but I've been told we are playing this on Saturday night - anyone know what key it's in and what I could get away with chord - wise

I'm frankly lost outside of the solo bits!!

Don't know about that version, but (IIRC) the original is in E minor.

    Mostly E5 and  D5.

Love the seriously funkified version. It actually works for me.
Not easy because it's all about the keys and bass but I make it the following chords....

    main verse E9
    pre-chorus C9-A13 (x2)
    C9-B7#5
    chorus E9-A7
    E9-B7#5

Easier played than typed. Here's a (very) rough (and slow) idea of how it fits together.

I like that. Lemmy was keen on mangling other people's songs so I can't see he would have objected. Some 16th note triplets in there somewhere? Funktastic.

Corduroy are a great band. The album that track is on is particularly good - although for the life of me I can't remember what it's called.

Corduroy were a fantastic bad. They only released a couple of albums before calling it a day, check them out if you can find them (Dad Man Cat and Out of Here).

This cover of Motorhead has been a long time favourite of mine....good luck with the cover :)

It's on Out of Here. Great album, and a really good band.

I had Out of Here on cassette. I had High Havoc too, which was a concept album, made as a soundtrack to a film that didn't actually exist.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

Great band, great track.  Have you heard their tune "Ayrton Senna"?  Genius!
