WTB Clean channel amp, under £500

So I'm trying to find something for my soon to be departing redplate cds2.

I used to have a blues junior tweed and wish I'd kept it, so would be happy to pick up another one.

I am however interested to see what else is out there. Portability is important as I like to carry all my gear in one trip. I would prefer to not go above 20 watts. I don't mind if it doesn't have a 2nd channel or reverb/ tremolo as I intend to use pedals. I am a fender man and have always loved their style of cleans (not hugely fond of the vox sound)

£500 is my hoped for top price but a little more could be found for the right amp.

Let me know what you have or what you would recommend

There's a Koch Studiotone for sale on here. I have the 50w Twintone and they are great amps. Superb build quality and three really usable channels.

Only issue with that is that I am in South Wales and don't have the time to get to London. Appreciate the suggestion though

I have a Carlsbro 60's PA valve head I'd let go for £100. You'd need a cab though.

Thanks drew but I'm after the convenience of a combo.

As for the pro junior I've never tried one and I've not always been sold on 10" speakers when mic'd up which is how I am normally.

I think they mic great, the pro jr really benefits from it. If it's good enough for Jeff Beck and all that... :P you could buy it well within your budget and stick an eminence ragin cajun in it for a really really great amp!

That's a fair point, would probably go for the jenson c12n though as I've had great experience before

I considered that, I liked the idea of the hemp cone of the ragin cajun as I have a hemp speaker in another amp and i really love the tone. The Pro Jr can stay lovely and clean, and is a great pedal platform.
