no such thing,  NOTHING is too indulgent for home use.     If it is Id best get shot of all my stuff then...............
just because you don't, doesn't mean you can't

Intrigued. What's the damage for the 20 with all the quirks (vac, rev, etc.)? Approx. thanks in advance.

damn you guys aren't helping with the gas. Gotta seriously save up for it.
The last I checked it was about £2.2k for all the add-ons (vac, rev, trem)

Well in an ideal world it would be great to have all those add on's. However, I too was in your position and a little shocked at the price and went for just the J20 and no reverb or trem, saving me over £500. I do advise not to omit in the spec the VAC as that is an invaluable add on. I've had my J20 for nearly a year now and I am looking to add the reverb module and that's the beauty of the design being modular.

I cannot recommend the modules enough. They may be more than your average stomp box but bear in mind, they are pure Valve driven units and they sound sublime.

I hardly ever used Reverb and NEVER used Tremolo until I got the J20 and now I rarely switch them off! The Trem is GORGEOUS and the Reverb is just beautiful! :)

I should be on bleedin' commission for these things....you listening Hoff?! ;)

@kelv_w Jesse used to have a couple in Chandlers as demo models but not sure if he still does. He's a great guy so if you are serious, I'm sure he can sort you out a demo - I spent a day with him at his place A/B-ing between a J40 & J80, changing valves, speakers until we found the best combination for me.

Where are you based? I'm in Worcester, off Junct 7, M5. If you wanted to make a trip to try a J20 then I'd be more than happy to give you a walk around mine :)

Quick update, they are £1620 basic, although they come with vac as standard and the waiting list is about 20 weeks. The is a £500 deposit too.

    I am really tempted!

I will get the calculator out in a minute

thanks for the offer Miserneil, I'll to see if I have available funds first before making the next move. Been spending too much these few months.

Ironically I was just in Worcester yesterday for a day out. I'm based in Birmingham so it's not too far.
