I sold my wangs

Howdy
I have a 15 watt tube amp head that I'm not using, and I think it needs a home. I'm asking £100 for it, I think it might prove difficult to post it out so asking for a preferred "collection only" from in and around Birmingham. So, some details on the amp.

It's a Chinese amp, the brand is Wangs. Yes, snigger time! It's 15 watts, all tube, has two inputs (the usual hi and lo), full eq, FX loop, a couple of speaker out options. It's quite heavy, chunky built, and seems very sturdy and robust. It does say Wangs across the front but I assume this could be removed!
Tone wise, it sounds a bit Fender ish on the gainy sounds, I've not really used it much for cleans but they were quite nice too. Sounds a bit like those VHT Special 6 things, but louder (15 tube watts!). It'd definitely be able to gig, with a good 2x12 I reckon. Would make a good back up amp in this regard, I'd say.

At risk of causing a frenzy of excitement, yes I do have photos of my Wangs but not sure how to link to them on the mobile site (no comments re Snapchat ha ha) so i shall do it this evening. Ive not played with it in pubic, sorry public, only ever in the depths of my bedroom. However it would definitely stand up to playing in public.
Re the size, its quite chunky and of course would need a cab, so whether or not your girlfriend would let you have it out in the living room is something you may have to test yourself. I'm guessing she'd prefer it if the Wangs belonged to you at that point rather than to me though

Serously though, these look pretty good, made by Biyang i think. They do a Hand wired 5 watt combo that looks pretty nice

Is the name all that important?  I have never heard of Wangs before this thread but as @Johnnyburgo wrote, these look pretty good.

Indeed, though you cant beat a bit of innuendo. Or in my case dim-innuendo. I believe other people have simply removed the name badge and wowser, the amp still sounded pretty darn good
would make an excellent back up amp head, or a "first" gigging amp head, much cheapness for 15 watt alltube
