I think it needs more frets.

If that were mine I'd get a new scratch plate made (not sure which colour) and have it single humbucker, single volume. Proper no-nonsense 80's machine then.
    Another good idea...

My Vigier had hs with a 5 way. It was:
    Full HB
    Tapped HB
    Both
Both out of phase for a lovely quacky sound
    Single coil

It had all the sounds I needed tbh

    This makes the most sense.

And it would be an oil city/ASL havoc with a coil tap. You won't want anything else

Oh, and I'd put a push button kill switch in it too. I did it when I modded a Pacifica and it was brilliant fun.

    Awesome!

Paging @TheGuitarWeasel... do you do coloured bobbins on the Havoc?

What about putting in a single Seymour Duncan P-rail? I always liked the idea of the versatility of getting SC, P90 and Humbucker from that one pickup. And apparently, it's quite good.

P-Rails are awesome pickups. I have two in my Feline custom.

I am also a fan of the P-Rails. Some excellent sounds to be had there.

If you took the neck single coil out you could fit another 10 frets.

Or have a little brass fretless section up there for, erm, well... just do it anyways.

  • Get a black scratchplate made, then yellow pickups, and call it Ferrari.

I'd be more inclined to modify my fingers to fit the high frets.

As in something that has extraordinary performance capabilities which you can never use in the real world, and everyone says how cool it is... but actually thinks you're a little bit of a tit for owing it?

    Appropriate.

I have one too, and will be modding it with a Tone Zone in the bridge and a Chopper in the middle (neck?). Will keep same pickup config as it seems a bit of a hassle to change it, but who knows, might wire it as an H-H guitar
