How on earth have I never heard about the story this film is based on? 

130'000 children just thrown to Australia in the hope that "they'll be fine". 

Unbelievable.

Is it worth a watch? Spotted it on iPlayer...

The story is worth knowing, the film is ok. Ken Loach's son made it, but I've just been shocked that I never knew about it.

Studying the many horrible things have happened in the last century is enough to remove any faith in humankind.

Was it the fad century for child abuse or more to the point, finding out about it?

 Our country just shaved 130'000 people off our population with absolutely not one care what happened to them.

I think it's always been going on, it's just easier to get it into the public consciousness… then all the people who think 'it's just me', realise it's not.

Will have a read up on that story.

The film was good, I just was left with more of a feeling of, well, outrage I'd say rather than enjoyment of the film.
