Practice amp sale alert

One of my local stores, simply music in Huntingdon, has a Peavey envoy 110 transtube pre owned for 60 quid. It's got a blue marvel, made in USA (silver stripe model) and sounds great.

If you're after a decent practice amp that could do rehearsals and small gigs, it's worth a punt. It looks practically new - if I wasn't buying a guitar, I'd have had it and used it in a stereo rig... Which is overkill for home practice but whatever...

Shame its not listed on their site, I need something for my office and this would be ideal. Might call them tomorrow.

I told my friend about it who wants a new practice amp but he just got a thr.

They'll happily deliver or put it aside for collection if you phone. They said it's say there for months! Seems a shame. Doesn't have the gain boost or thrash button, but I plugged it in and both channels sound good, just like a bandit but smaller.

I'm still toying with it. I'm also thinking of looking for an older Bandit (65?) or even a Backstage 30. The latter was used by Weller in his early Jam years and I just want to hear/own one.

I can't believe it's not gone, it's 59 pounds of good quality, USA made solid state practice amp. Nice cleans, nice crunch, good eq and a nice quality cab/tolex (which kinda shows how poor a lot of modern amps are...) in mint nick. And 40 watts through a larger cab could do a small gig unmiced I reckon.
