Pedalpart Klone?

Anybody built one of these? Do they sound like the Klon? I've checked out YouTube clips, the Klon sounds like a nice overdrive But what's it really like when you stand in front of an amp?

I haven't built the PP Klone, but have done loads of other PP kits and have a different Klone of my own...

The Klon is a really great fruity sounding overdrive. I use it either with my strat, gain about halfway, for the Mayer solo-y tone, or as an always-on clean boost that just makes everything sound better. Either way it's great fun.

The PedalParts kits are great. PCBs are excellent quality, and pots, jacks and switches are all decent. The instructions are clear, as long as you're happy working out which components are which before you start (they all come in one big bag). The Klone has a footswitch mounted pcb, which makes wiring it up very quick, though might very slightly reduce reliability in the long run.

The pedal will sit in a rack so no issues with switch reliablility.
