Recommend me some Urban/Paisley

I fancy trying a bit of Brad Paisley and Keith Urban but no idea where to start. 

Can anyone recommend me an album or 2 from each?

With Paisley do you want - Paisley the guitar player ( in which case probably Play) or Paisley the cheeky songwiter ( in which case there is a greatest hits compilation)?

I know very little but probably the guitar stuff more. Will try both

I find the songwritery stuff duller than a report on soil erosion read by Gordon Brown on valium.

His guitar playery ist mucho good though.

Some of the songs I really, really like, some make me cringe quite a bit. I forget which song ( Honey, I'm Still a Guy is it?) where it ends with ' and I've still got a gun in my truck' (I might be paraphrasing) and you think really Brad, really? Oh dear. ~X(
Paisley is probably quite liberal by US Midwest standards but would still think UKIP were commie pinko bastards if he lived here.

I absolutely love the album "American Saturday Night" Great songs and fantastic guitar playing. A must have!

On the Urban front, try defying gravity.

Pure unadulterated cheese but worth a spin. Worth it for the intro riff to "Til summer comes around"  (iirc).

Lovely delay use right there (Theres a great clip on YT of him and a strat playing solo-  )

Love me some Paisley too.... Personally I think his first few albums were best but guitarwise go with "play".

Play is a fantastic, fantastic album.

This is really good too - some INCREDIBLE tones. See 0:45 and the octave-down bit from 3:40 to 3:50 ish. You will shit brix.

This is always my first thought when I think of Paisley.  

Some of his stuff is far too cheesey for me, but when I'm in the mood, it's really, really good cheese.
